A Staggering Symphony

Refuse on floors occupies attic
Of stereo mind
A procession of ants carries body to mouth
Legs entangled in themselves
Drunk on the surging strength of thousands
Old wood grains swell and speak
Their decaying dilemma rotting
In the thick hot air above
Monosyllabic bird brain
Flies into the clouds of obscura
Behind a veil of normalcy
I can hear the chambers of hunger growling

The house is alive
And the house will eat us

Argon in windows to mitigate
The carbon dioxide in our veins
Scattered in amongst gliding ghosts
of the crimson curtain
Who walk in tow with the
Half dead faithful followers
Flowering within the fibers
of insulation
Left to warm an otherwise
Cold skull

Outer-membrane stalking endless days
Torpedoes of death at the crest
of an infinite multi-verse
Lulled by lunar language, and
Stitched into the fabric of the cosmos

Bipedal brain asserts self

Cognizance lands, feet on fleeting planet
Smoke sifts still
Behind the old movie complex
Where images were bartered
For battered bills
And skin was pressed against plastic
Reminiscent of youth caught masturbating
By mother's curiosity
Her eyes fixated on the television screen
And inexhaustibly inert

Digging without end
End without digging

Finally it happens

--the ants feed the body to the mouth--

Two legs toppled by six
