Shrinking
The world hugs
At my flesh
I'd like to think
Somewhere in the vastness
of space
A head swivels like mine
Unable to avoid the motion
of youth
Misused and jerked off
Milky white disillusion
Clogs the kid
Beaten by daddy and
Forgotten by time
The artist is sick on himself
I see it everywhere
The only beauty left sits
On the side of freeways
Holding sign after sign
One begging mouth after another
Words unheard
Love similarly evades the light
of realization
It gets harder and
then harder
To continue this masquerade
of creativity
My hands genuinely bleed out
of frustration
No job
No respect
Brilliance stuck in my gut
Narcissism the form of my desperation
Please forgive
Broken flowers speak
out to me now
Directing baby brains
averting all of it
One less face to face
Face it man, it's all
over
